Bring your gently used books (paperbacks and children’s books) to Harbor Books on New Year's Day and trade them for new-to-you paperbacks and children’s books.

Book Swap Guidelines
Only paperbacks (pocket or trade size) or children’s books (hardcover, paperback, or board books, including books for teens/young adults) in good condition will be accepted for exchange. No library books or books with mildew, water damage, animal damage, missing covers or loose/missing pages will be accepted. No hardcover or audio books (other than those for children or teens) will be accepted on the day of the book swap.
You will receive an exchange value of one credit for most pocket/mass market paperbacks and two credits for most trade/full-size paperbacks. You will receive one credit for most children’s paperbacks or board books and two credits for most children’s hardcover books. (Additional credit may be given at the store owner’s discretion for recent books in excellent condition.) You will receive a card with the number of credits you have towards book trades.
Credits may be used to trade for:
• Bargain books = 1 credit
• Pocket/Mass Market paperbacks = 2 credits
• Children’s paperbacks and board books = 2 credits
• Trade/Full Size paperbacks = 3 credits
• Children’s hardcover books = 3 credits
Book swap credits may only be exchanged on the day of the book swap, and may not be saved towards future purchases. Book swap credits may not be used for new books (green labels), hardcover books, audio books, or non-book items.
